RJH Management History

Born and raised in New Zealand, Richard Hillgrove graduated with an MA in Media and Communications and became an award-winning writer and producer for Radio New Zealand and TV3, and media commentator for Murdoch-owned newspapers, The Sunday Star-Times and Sunday News.
He consulted for Saatchi and Saatchi, Levi Strauss, Telecom New Zealand and Wilson and Horton (owners of the New Zealand Herald) before moving to the UK to manage advertising sales for Express Newspapers and then Northern & Shell Media. Richard was responsible for generating over 100m pound revenues and remains close to the Northern & Shell Group.

In October 2004, he launched into the PR field and quickly gained an impressive roster of clients including BBC Dragon's Den stars Duncan Bannatyne OBE, James Caan and Simon Woodroffe OBE. Richard is widely credited with creating the concept of the celebrity businessman and using PR to turn around the fortunes of businesses such as Little Chef.
He has broadened the services he offers and founded RJH Management to manage the reputations and careers of well-known business leaders and personalities. Richard’s experience helps his clients make the right decisions to achieve their business and personal brand objectives.
